Fourteen floors of the 78-floor Iconic Building in the Central Business District (CBD) in Egypt's New Administrative Capital have been constructed so far, according China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
The CBD, which will be home to 20 towers, the tallest of which is the Iconic Tower, is being built by the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, in cooperation with the CSCEC, one of the largest construction companies in the world.
The 385-metre-high Iconic Tower will be the tallest building in Africa.
"The Iconic Tower will be a landmark of the CBD and of Egypt," Housing Minister Essam El-Gazar said in a previous inspection tour in the CBD.
